VJL Housing

Veterans Justice League Housing

VJL feels that they have found the right combination for their housing program to empower Veterans who are coming out of the criminal justice system. We are giving them this recipe so that they can successfully transition back into society.

We do this through multiple PT (physical training) sessions throughout the week. As well as Peer Groups, Check-ins, House Meetings, Room Inspections weekly. We then review their progress in the program monthly.

We feel the most important part of our housing program is our monthly community volunteer event where our veteran residents take part in volunteering to build up the same communities better and stronger that we once ran reckless in.

Event examples: DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Post-cleanup, Team RWB Christmas Ruck to Children's hospital

Once their volunteer event for the month is met, we take our volunteer team out for a monthly social event. E.g., a Nuggets game, concerts, Top Golf, etc.

PT - Physical Training is a Foundational Tool to Help Our Veterans Within Our Housing Program

We have weekly community workouts every Saturday at 8AM with our veteran residents. We bring our community together to include justice-involved, first responders, veterans, and active-duty service members. This is typically located at The Phoenix gym near Old Town.
